Privacy Statement

How IJMS collects and uses personal information.

IJMS collects only the personal information necessary to operate the journal's editorial and publishing process. This typically includes the names, institutional affiliations, email addresses, and ORCID iDs of authors, reviewers, and editors, submitted through the manuscript submission system or provided directly by correspondence.

This information is used solely for the purposes of the journal — managing submissions, communicating with authors and reviewers, conducting peer review, publishing accepted articles, and maintaining the scholarly record. Names and email addresses entered into the IJMS submission system are not sold, rented, or otherwise made available to third parties for commercial or unrelated marketing purposes.

Published articles include author names, affiliations, and (where supplied) ORCID iDs as part of the permanent public scholarly record, consistent with standard academic publishing practice, since attribution is central to scholarly communication.

Authors and reviewers with questions about how their information is used, or who wish to request a correction to their personal details held by the journal, may contact the Editorial Office.
