Open Access Policy

The International Journal of Multi Studies (IJMS) follows an open-access publishing model. Published articles are freely accessible to readers, allowing scholarly research to be read, shared, and used for academic and research purposes without a subscription or paywall.

Open Access Publishing

IJMS provides open access to all its published scholarly articles and supports the broad dissemination of research while maintaining continued access to its published academic content.

Articles are made openly accessible immediately upon publication, with no embargo period. Open access applies to articles published through the IJMS website and does not exempt authors from applicable Article Processing Charges (APCs).

Creative Commons License

IJMS articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License, unless otherwise expressly stated for specific material.

The license permits others to share, redistribute, adapt, and use the licensed work, including commercially, provided that appropriate attribution is given and applicable license conditions are followed. Users must not falsely claim authorship or misrepresent the original article, authors, or publication.

Copyright Ownership

Authors retain copyright in their original work in accordance with the applicable IJMS Author Rights and Licensing terms.

Publication in IJMS does not transfer copyright ownership to the journal. IJMS receives the rights necessary to publish, distribute, make the article openly accessible, preserve the published record, and maintain the official Version of Record, as applicable.

Reuse of Published Articles

Published articles may be reused in accordance with the applicable licensing terms. Appropriate credit should be given to the original author(s) and publication, together with the article's DOI or official publication link where available.

Third-party material included in an article may be subject to separate copyright or licensing conditions and should not be assumed to be covered by the article's license unless expressly indicated.

Author Sharing

Authors may share the published version of their work through appropriate scholarly channels, including institutional repositories, academic profiles, and personal academic websites, in accordance with their applicable rights and licensing terms.

Authors are encouraged to retain the original citation, DOI, journal name, and publication information when sharing their work.

For detailed information on self-archiving and reuse rights, please refer to the Author Rights policy.

Long-Term Access and Preservation

IJMS aims to maintain continued access to its published scholarly content. The journal makes reasonable efforts to preserve published article files, associated metadata, persistent identifiers, and the official Version of Record.

IJMS uses the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), a LOCKSS-based digital preservation service for journals using Open Journal Systems (OJS), to support the long-term preservation of its published scholarly content.

The preservation service is intended to support continued access to the scholarly record in the event of disruption to the journal's primary website or publishing platform, subject to the technical and operational availability of the preservation network.

Access to Published Content

Published IJMS articles are intended to remain accessible through the official journal website.

Where persistent identifiers such as DOIs are assigned, IJMS makes reasonable efforts to maintain the associated publication information and article links. Updates by external indexing, abstracting, repository, or discovery services are dependent on the policies and systems of those third parties.
